Abstract
1351255 Emulsion polymerization GOODYEAR TIRE & RUBBER CO 19 April 1971 21220/71 Heading C3P Stable polymer latices are obtained by the emulsion polymerization of a monomer mixture containing 55-95% of a carboxylic monomer in the presence of an anionic emulsifier selected from a disodium or diammonium salt of nonylphenoxy polyethoxy sulphosuccinate containing 8-16 ethoxy groups and a sodium or ammoniurn lauryl polyethoxy sulphate containing 8-16 ethoxy groups. Copolymers of acrylic or methacrylic acid with ethyl or butyl acrylate are exemplified.
