1350882 Gyratory crushers BARBERGREENE CO 20 Dec 1972 [27 Dec 1971] 58969/72 Heading B2A A gyratory crusher main frame comprises a circular vertical wall 70, Fig. 6, of sheet steel having openings 78, 79, 79a, and an inner central steel casting 80, Fig. 3, to support the crusher mechanism which is within and extends upwardly into the circular vertical wall, and has spaced, radially-extending integral portions 87, 88, Fig. 5, each terminating in a flat surface 87a, Fig. 3, 88a, Fig. 8, with a hollow and enclosed sheet steel arm welded as at 79b, Fig. 3 to each of the surfaces and extending radially outwards therefrom. The arms are in circumferential alignment with the wall openings and terminate short of the outside of the wall 70 and are welded there as at 79c, Fig. 3. Separate cover plates 102, Fig. 5, are welded to the outside of the wall to close the openings 79, 79a. The lower end of the wall rests on and is welded to a plate 75, Fig. 6. Lubrication passages 91, 92, 93 are provided for lubricant delivered by a pump (not shown) and screens 91a, Fig. 1 (not shown) in passages 91, 93 prevent dirt damaging the gears. Low oil level is sensed by a float switch 50, Fig. 1 (not shown), which in turn may control an alarm or stop the crusher.
