Abstract

1350317 Injection moulding panels SOC ANON DUMONT ET BESSON 15 March 1972 [15 June 1971] 11955/72 Heading B5A In the manufacture of building panels comprising a frame filled with injected material a stack 3 of frames A, B, &c. separated by rigid plates 13 is brought to an injection station 2 where the stack is clamped in a press (not shown) and filling material injected into the cavities between each frame and the adjoining plates 13, and the stack is then moved to a discharging and reloading station 1 where the filled panels are removed singly in sequence by pushing out a panel, e.g. lowermost panel A with an empty frame a while the stack above is held up, e.g. by arms 9 gripping the rigid plate 13 immediately above the panel A. An elevator 6 is moved up and down to position each panel B, C, &c. to be displaced on to the rollers of table 14 by an empty frame from table 11. The stack of frames and plates P1 is then moved on carriage 5 to the injection position 2 along rails 17 and another stack P2 is prepared at position P1, Fig. 2. When stack P1 has been injected it is moved by carriage 5 on to a conveying device 19 and displaced to one side along rails 18 so that stack P2 can be moved to the injection station 2. Aggregate may be placed in the cavities of the frames before injection of polyurethane foam through perforated tubes passing through the frames. The tubes may be left in place as reinforcement.
