Abstract

1347900 Valves IMPERIAL-EASTMAN CORP 14 June 1971 [18 June 1970 11 Feb 1971] 27838/71 Heading F2V A fine metering valve comprises a flexible metal beam 25 deflected by a member 23 in response to rotation of an actuator 18. The beam 25 is spaced from the inlet by a spacer ring 35. The valve may alternatively be operated by push-button, mechanical camming device, electrical solenoid &c. (Fig. 5, not shown). A spring retaining portion 19 may be extended (219) (Fig. 6, not shown) so as to positively lock the member 23 in the closed position when the actuator is fully lowered. Adjustable collars in the form of nuts (138), (338) (Figs. 5 and 8, not shown) provide varying initial compression of the springs (140), (340).
