1347531 Magnetic recording and playback; erase heads SUD-ATLAS-WERKE GmbH 25 May 1971 [20 Feb 1971] 16990/71 Heading G5R An erasing magnet 10 moves between an operative position in contact with a magnetic record tape 5 and a remote inoperative position by sliding in a bore 9 having its axis perpendicular to the surface of the tape; two conductors 15, 16 connected to control means are located on either side of the bore 9 so as to make contact with the tape 5 and any stop-foil (17), Fig. 3 (not shown), or the like carried thereby. Movement of the magnet 10 is effected manually through an external knob, Fig. 1 (not shown), and links 14, 13.
