Abstract

1347530 Coated paper MOORE BUSINESS FORMS Inc 19 April 1971 [4 March 1970] 3526/72 Divided out of 1347529 Heading B2E [Also in Division G2] An electrostatographic recording member comprises a paper sheet having a high surface resistivity coating of at least 10<SP>12</SP> ohm/sq. cm. (at 50% relative humidity) on one surface and a low surface resistivity coating of 10<SP>3-8</SP> ohm /sq. cm. (at 50% relative humidity) in the opposite surface. The high surface resistivity coating may be of short oil alkyd, epoxy, polyurethane or polyvinylbutyral resin or synthetic rubber and may be applied at a coating weight of 1-10 gm./sq. m. The low resistivity coating may be of vinylbenzyl trimethyl ammonium chloride, a polyelectrolyte resin, or a mixture of ethyl cellulose and calcium chloride.
