Abstract
1,193,174. Electrophotographic element. MITA INDUSTRIAL CO. Ltd. 11 Sept., 1967 [12 Sept., 1966], No. 41315/67. Heading H1K. [Also in Division G2] An electrophotographic element comprises a base having a photo-conductive coating thereon, the base having a higher resistance than the coating. In the embodiment an aqueous composition comprising ZnO and vinyl acetate emulsion together with alkyd and silicone resin dissolved in water as a binder, is coated on a base comprising paper or a film. It is desirable that the binder permeate the base to increase the disparity in resistance between the base and coating.
