Abstract
1347159 Knitting machines ELITEX-ZAVODY TEXTILNIHO STROJIRENSTVI GENERALNI REDITELSTVI 25 Nov 1971 [7 Dec 1970] 54888/71 Heading D1C An e.g. small diameter knitting machine for knit-de-knit processing comprises a sinker guide ring 4 and a sinker ring 14 with a sinker cam ring 15, either ring 4 or ring 14 or both having a conical surface to engage and guide the sinkers 11 to give them an inclined linear movement. Ring 4 has ribs 5 and a conical surface 6 higher than the bottom 7 of recesses 8 between ribs 5 so that the guiding edges 11 of the sinkers bear against surface 6. A groove 12 in ring 4 on the same show as surface 6 receives nose 13 of the sinker to hold it in position. In ring 14 the butts 16 of sinkers 10 are held between ribs 17 by sinker cam ring 15. A conical surface 18 on ring 14 is higher than the bottom 19 of recesses 20 between ribs 17 and forms a continuation of surface 6. The sinkers are held against surfaces 6, 18 by spring 22. One conical surface only may be provided on one of the rings 14 or 4 Fig. 3 (not shown).
