1346876 Preparation of naphtalene-1,8-dicarboxylic acid imide FARBWERKE HOECHST AG 24 July 1972 [26 July 1971] 34506/72 Heading C2C Naphthalene-1,8-dicarboxylic acid imide is obtained by reacting solid naphthalene-1,8- dicarboxylic acid anhydride with gaseous ammonia. The reaction is suitably carried out under an excess pressure of ammonia by initially heating the mixture to 70-80‹ C.
