1346240 Suspending curtains; curtains W BUNGER 2 Aug 1971 [8 Aug 1970] 36295/71 Headings A4B and A4S A curtain or pleating tape therefor includes a substantially inelastic pleating string 14 secured thereto in non-displaceable manner at pairs of spaced terminal positions 17, 18 to define float sections 16 and zones 19 over which the string is secured to the tape or curtain, open ended pockets 20 being provided in the tape or curtain, the arrangement being such that to pleat the curtain the float sections are drawn in loop form 25 through the pockets 20 to draw the respective terminal positions 17, 18 together and thereby form the pleats 27. The loops 25 may be used to engage a suspension hook or runner. The loops 25 may be drawn through the pockets by an auxiliary string 15 having loops 24 extending through the pockets and around the string 14. Several loops 25 may be engaged by a single suspension hook 28, Fig.4. The pockets 31, Fig.7, may be formed by threads 32 of the tape and the string 15 may engage the pleating string 14 to draw two loops 25, 25' through each pocket. The float section 16 may be sub-divided into sections 42, Fig. 8, to form a group of pleats (44-47), Fig. 9 (not shown). A curtain 50, Fig.10, may include two optionally usable pleating strings 14, 14' each with an associated auxiliary string 15, 15'. Float section 16 may have outer sections 61, Fig.12, and a short centre section which forms the loop 62 that can be pulled through a loop 67 formed from the threads of the tape.
