Abstract

1345845 Robbles for rotary hearth furnaces MARATHON OIL CO 1 May 1972 [2 Dec 1971] 20175/72 Heading F4B In a rotary hearth furnace of the type disclosed in Specification 1,272,880 each robble 34 comprises a hollow carbon steel body with coolant, e.g. air or water, inlet 36 and outlet 37, stainless steel honeycomb 90 butt welded on the edge, bottom and rear surface and settable refractory or refractory cement covering the honeycomb to a depth of 1 inch. The body may be a U-shaped or other flat coil.
