Abstract
1345626 Printing apparatus NATIONAL CASH REGISTER CO 15 Dec 1971 [28 Dec 1970] 58252/71 Heading B6C A printing machine comprises a reciprocable printing member 41, mounted on a carrier 42 and moved by a cam on a path determined by guide slots 43, and an inking pad 25 which reciprocates laterally between a position in which it contacts the moving printing member and one in which it is clear of its path. The printing member moves twice for each movement of the inking pad, and they are actuated by cams on a common shaft. On alternate upward strokes the printing member is inked and prints on paper on table 21. A solenoid-actuated latch 51 can be actuated to stop upward movement of the carrier 42 and printing member 41, so preventing inking and/or printing in a particular cycle.
