Abstract

1344942 High mast lighting MEYER INDUSTRIES Inc 19 April 1971 [16 July 1970] 20125/71 Heading F4R [Also in Division G5] A high mast lighting unit has a frame 23 carrying lamps 26 which is held up by cables 21 running over pulleys in arms 15 and attached to a counterweight 36. The frame is lowered by raising the counterweight by a motorized winch (45, Fig. 8, not shown). The counterweight is prevented from rotating by guide rods (39) within the tower. The frame and the arms have corresponding cones and sockets, respectively (33, 32, Fig. 4, not shown) to prevent the frame swaying or rotating.
