Abstract

The mast (1) is firmly bolted to a massive concrete foundation but has a hinge (8) so that it can be lowered for repair or maintenance. The lighting trolley is lifted for use or lowered for maintenance by lifting cables (11), a counterweight (6) making this movement easier, and a braking cable is provided to make the movement safer, while access to all cables is by door (7). The mobile trolley is provided with small wheels or rollers (15) so that it is always firmly in contact with the mast, while the mast is fitted with a capping bracket (3, 9) to house lifting pulleys (10).
