Abstract

1344628 Honing DELAPENA HONING EQUIPMENT Ltd 10 Sept 1971 [12 Sept 1970] 43735/70 Heading B3D [Also in Division F2] A honing machine includes an operating mechanism, e.g. a foot-pedal actuated means for applying drive to and expanding the hone (not shown), which mechanism comprises a first member 18 angularly movable in a clockwise or anticlockwise sense from an inoperative position and means for connecting the member 18 to a second member 14 to produce a similar linear movement of the second member 14 regardless of the sense of movement of the first. An extension shaft 23 is slidably adjustable in a bore of the member 18, being lockable by means of a set screw 24 for entering one of a series of holes 26 or a groove in the shaft 23. The foot pedal 28 is adjustable about the axis of a locking bolt 29 on a block 27 supported by the shaft 23. Eccentric pins 21, 22 on the end of the shaft 18 co-operate with a connecting member 16 to draw the member 14 downwardly on turning the shaft 18 in either direction. Alternatively, Fig. 4 (not shown), a member 16 of inverted T-form may engage under the pins 21, 22.
