1344486 Boilers ELECTRICITY COUNCIL 21 July 1972 [5 July 1971] 31340/71 Headings F4U and F4A A water heating system comprises electrically-heated thermal storage core or cores 10- 13, a condenser 17 having passing therethrough a service water conduit 20, a plurality of horizontally extending boiler tubes 14 each connected to an upright steam tube 15, and an inlet water reservoir pipe 22. Condensate from the condenser either passes to the base of the steam tube 15 via a return pipe 19 or via an entry aperture in the steam tube so that condensate can run down inside the tube. One or more steam tubes may be provided and the boiler tubes may be U-shaped.
