Abstract

1343695 Corrugated plastics pipes GMT SA and P A LEFEBVRE 14 May 1971 [14 May 1970] 15106/71 Heading F2P A corrugated tube, of thermoplastic synthetic resin, and having resistance to crushing, comprises successive pairs of rectilinear ring shaped elements 3, 3a, the elements of each pair being connected by an arcuate portion 4 which is distortable and of such length that when flattened by external radial pressure f1 it brings the ring-shaped elements into parallel relationship 3 1 , 3 1a . Pairs of elements are connected by straight portions 2 and preferably the radii 5, 7, 11, of the arcs connecting the ring-shaped elements to the arcuate and straight portions are less than the thickness of the tube wall. Examples of resins used are p.v.c., polypropylene, polyamide, polyethylene and polycarbonate.
