Abstract
1343552 Aerials LICENTIA PATENTVERWALTUNGS GmbH 12 June 1972 [31 July 1971] 27331/72 Heading H4A [Also in Division H1] A waveguide or cable along which waves are internally propagated has three or more coupling apertures 3 provided with reflectors 4 and dielectric lenses 5 spaced so that radiated energy from the apertures which is travelling in one direction with reference to the internal wave will be in phase at adjacent apertures, whereas energy travelling in the opposite direction will be out of phase. Thus when the desired direction of external propagation is the same as the internal wave, the spacing is an odd number of quarter wavelengths. The coupling apertures are partial or complete circumferential slots.
