Abstract

1343303 Feeding sheets POLYGRAPH LEIPZIG KOMBINAT FUR POLYGRAPHISCHE MASCHINEN UND AUSRUSTUNGENVEB 2 March 1971 5785/71 Heading B8R Sheets arriving in an overlapping stream 1 at the front stops 4 of a printing machine are registered before arrival at the stops by a periodically applied timing roller 7 which forces each sheet against a constantly driven braking roller 14. The period of application of the roller 7 to each sheet is determined by sensing the edge of the sheet with a photo-electric reflection device 5 and using the signal obtained to adjust the setting of the cam controlled lever mechanism used to operate the roller 7.
