Abstract

1343231 Roofs ATELIERS DE CONSTRUCTIONS METALLIQUES DE CAEN SA 13 April 1972 [4 Aug 1971] 17079/72 Heading E1W [Also in Division B4] A finished roof element 2 comprises a generally inverted V-sectioned shell 3 of, e.g. metal, stiffened by transverse members 9 of, e.g. metal, and lined on the inside by heat- and noise-insulating mattresses 9, 10 with perforated panels 11 therebelow, the element being provided with a light source e.g. 12 and heat transmitting means, e.g. 14b. Each element is constructed using apparatus, Fig. 2, including supports 49, 51 for bolts 15, 16 over which are located light and heat reflectors 13, 14a, and then a number of metal members 9, located laterally by hydraulically or pneumatically operated pins 31, 30 at a number of longitudinally spaced stations, and underneath by brackets 38. The mattresses 9, 10 are then located between the reflectors, and then the panels 11 are added, whereafter the shell 3 is welded to the members 9. Adjacent elements are arranged side-by-side in a roof, and capping strips 7, 20 may be arranged over and under a jointing device 19.
