Soldering.-Aluminium or aluminium alloys are tin-soldered to the same or other metals, by first coating the cleaned metal electrolytically with a layer of iron, and then applying the solder without further treatment of the iron layer. When aluminium is to be soldered to a metal to which tin adheres, only the aluminium is coated with the. iron.
