Abstract

1342345 Detergent flakes UNILEVER Ltd 19 April 1971 [2 Feb 1970] 4896/70 Addition to 1293753 Heading C5D A detergent composition in flake form, comprises (A) a water-soluble salt of a dicarboxylic acid of formula wherein n is 0 or 1 and R is a primary or secondary straight chain alkyl or alkenyl group containing from 10 to 20 carbon atoms, and (B) an olefin sulphonate or alkyl sulphate detergent, or mixture thereof, wherein the wt. ratio of (A) to (B) is from 20 : 1 to 1 : 1, and wherein (A) plus (B) comprise at least 50% of the composition. (B) is preferably an alpha olefin sulphonate or a tallow alkyl sulphate. The composition may contain 2 to 15% wt. of water. Alkylolamides and other additives may be present.
