Abstract

1341840 Quaternated polyepihalohydrins NALCO CHEMICAL CO 22 Dec 1970 [7 Jan 1970] 60976/70 Heading C3R [Also in Division H1] Electroconductive water-dispersible polymers of the formula wherein X denotes chlorine, bromine or iodine, R denotes methyl, ethyl or (C m H 2n O) y H, y is an integer of from 1 to 30, n is an integer of from 1 to 4 and m and p are integers such that m+p is from 5 to 2000 and m is from 80 to 100% of m+p, are prepared by polymerizing an epihalohydrin such as epichlorohydrin in the presence of triisobutyl aluminium with, for example, trimethylamine and various ethylene oxide adducts of dimethylamine. Uses.-Application as aqueous dispersions to substrates having a printing surface adapted for electrographic printing. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1,208,474.
