1341031 Fluid pressure servosystems ROTAX Ltd 19 April 1971 [10 March 1970] 11410/70 Heading G3P Also in Division G1 In a system for detecting when fluid flow within a duct exceeds a predetermined value the interior of a housing 10 is subjected to the static pressure in the duct via and conduit 11, and the interior of a bellows 14 to the dynamic pressure in the duct via a conduit 15, and the interior of a bellows 13 is evacuated, the bellows 13, 14 each being connected between the housing 10 and one arm of a lever 12 such that when the fluid-flow exceeds the predetermined value, the leverage applied by bellows 13 in a clockwise sense (as viewed in Fig. 1) is exceeded by the leverage applied by bellows 14 in an anti-clockwise sense, the lever 12 thus turning to open an orifice at an end of conduit 16. Fluid then flows through conduit 16 into a bellows 21 and displaces a bridge member 19, supported by two inter-connected opposed bellows 18 filled with an inert gas, thereby closing an electric switch 20 and operating a warning circuit. The position of the point 13a at which bellows 13 is attached in the housing 10 may be varied to adjust the leverage applied by the bellows 13 and thus the value of fluid flow at which a warning is given.
