Abstract

1340971 Oscillators; phase modulation MARCONI CO Ltd 1 Dec 1972 [4 Jan 1972] 215/72 Headings H3F and H3R In an oscillator comprising two integrators 1, 2 connected in series, the feedback path 3 being completed over an inverter 4, two multipliers 17, 18 are inserted in the feedback loop. According as the second input, from terminal 19, to the multipliers is positive or negative the output from integrator 1, at terminal 14, precedes or appears after, the 90 degree phase-shifted output from integrator 2 at terminal 13. The Specification also refers to a known arrangement in which the multipliers are replaced by potentiometers (Fig. 1, not shown), the frequency of oscillation depending upon the setting of the potentiometers.
