Abstract

1340435 Fencing MARLEY TILE CO Ltd 27 July 1972 [10 Aug 1971] 37540/71 Heading E1B A picket fence comprises pales 3 (or rails 2) formed as hollow P.V.C. extrusions with an internal reinforcing web 9, the wall of the pale (or rail) being cut away at joints between rails and pales and a surface of the rail (or pale) being brought into contact with said we.b. The said surfaces are maintained in contact by solvent welding or by the cut away portion being of such a size that the rail (or pale) is a snap fit therein. Intermediate 1 and corner posts are formed as hollow P.V.C. extrusions and have apertures in their walls to receive the ends of rails. Moulded P.V.C. caps 4 and 5 for the posts and pales have spigots which can be press fitted in the ends of the posts.
