Abstract
1340279 Mine conveying system BECORIT (RESEARCH) Ltd 7 Sept 1971 41603/71 Addition to 1223857 Heading B8E Material which has been ripped out of a tunnel 11, Fig. 1, in a mine is displaced laterally along the floor by a scraper blade 16 on a carriage which is moved along a beam 14. The beam 14 is drawn forwards by chains attached to selfadvancing roof supports. The blade is pivoted to an inoperative position as it returns to the right hand end of the beam where it is cammed into operative position again. In a second embodiment, Fig. 4, material falls on to a platform 130 along which it is displaced by a scraper which moves along a beam 114. A ramp 131 leads to a raised portion of the platform. In a modification, the platform 130 is pivoted and may be raised during blasting to act as a shield.
