Abstract

1340028 Testing under simulated climatic conditions V Y KULBENKO V G RUMSHEVICH and Y V KOSTROMIN 2 March 1972 9847/72 Heading G1S [Also in Division B8] Articles e.g. transistors, diodes etc, to be tested in a climatic condition in a chamber are fed by a reciprocating conveyor on to the periphery of an upper support plate 14 having a spiral guide path along which the articles are moved by radially extending pushers 11 secured to a stepwise driven shaft 10. When the articles reach the centre of the plate 14 they are transferred along a spiral 16 by means of ribs 12 on to a lower support plate 15 having a spiral guide path of the opposite hand to that of the upper support plate and along which the articles are moved by a further set of pushers 11 towards a tangentially arranged reciprocating discharge conveyer 5. Each reciprocating conveyer 4, 5 comprises a longitudinally extending member 17 with a plurality of resilient members 18 arranged to engage a respective article on the forward stroke of the member 17 and to withdraw within the member 17 on the return stroke thereof. A guide and support member 20 associated with each member 17 is provided with a plurality of resilient members 21 on opposite sides to prevent the articles moving in the reverse direction when the member 17 performs its return stroke.
