Abstract
1339524 Vacuum vessels; cryostats HUGHES AIRCRAFT CO 24 March 1972 [1 July 1971] 14052/72 Headings F4U and F4H A vacuum container, Dewar flask, cryostat or the like has a hydrogen-getter material or materials in the sealed vacuum space. The getter is a material or mixture of materials selected from an oxide or hydroxide of palladium or platinum or a hydrated compound of palladium or platinum. The getter may be used in combination with a desiccant material disposed in the vacuum space. The apparatus may comprise an infra-red detector system within a vacuum sealed cryogenic housing.
