Abstract

1339059 Centrifugal pumps RUBBERFABRIEK VREDESTEIN N V 22 June 1971 [1 July 1970] 29083/71 Heading F1C A centrifugal pump, e.g. for pumping a mixture of water and sand or gravel, has an exchangeable sheet-metal inner casing 2, Fig. 2, arranged within the main casing 1 and lined at 4 with rubber or other wear-resistant elastic material. The inner casing and liner are fixed to the main casing adjacent the outwater by means which define a circumferential boundary of the space 3 formed between the inner and main casings, Fig. 1, (not shown). The liner may be provided at one or both sides with metal rings 6 by which it is bolted at 7 to a cover 8. The space 3 is filled with fine granular material, e.g. sand, which may be removed when the liner is no longer yieldable due to wear, so that the inner casing can suitably yield during subsequent use.
