Abstract

1338747 Bursting discs SIGRI ELEKTROGRAPHIT GmbH 1 Sept 1972 [2 Sept 1971] 40757/72 Heading F1D A bursting disc comprises a graphite bursting body 1, Fig. 1, with a cylindrical recess 2 housing a pressure disc 3 which moves under pressure to form a seal with the body & ruptures the latter when a predeterminined pressure is exceeded. An asbestos disc 6 and a polytetrafluorethylene foil 7 are cemented to one another and to the body 1. Packing rings 8 are cemented to the foil 7. Fig.2, (not shown) illustrates an embodiment in which the body 1 has a through bore. The dotted lines a indicate the lines of venture in each embodiment.
