1337118 Endless conveyers THERMIQUE INDUSTRIELLE JACQUES COUDAMY SA 27 Nov 1970 r28 Nov 1969] 56489/70 Heading B8A An endless conveyer system comprises two straight tracks each having a pair of U-sectioned rails 1, the tracks preferably being parallel and interconnected at their ends by connecting members, such as metal plates, each having a planar surface 2, and further comprises trucks pivotally interconnected at their corners adjacent the inside of the closed circuit formed by the tracks and connecting members, the trucks having wheels 10 movable in the U-sectioned rails 1 and being guidable in curved paths on the surfaces 2 by means of vertical rollers 11 which are arranged in an arcuate configuration and which co-operate with the inwardly facing sides of the trucks. A driving system 5 drives two shafts which each project to a respective one of the tracks to drive chains carrying dogs 6 and 7 respectively which engage transverse bars 8 on the undersides of the trucks, thus moving the trucks along the tracks. Trucks moving towards the surfaces 2 are driven by dogs 7 engaging the inner ends of bars 8 and trucks moving away from surfaces 2 are driven by dogs 7 engaging the centres of the bars 8. The wheels 10 are each independently pivotable about a vertical axis and metal brushes 9 which conform to the U-sectioned rails 1 are provided on the lower sides of the trucks for cleaning the rails, foreign bodies being deposited through rectangular openings 3 provided at intervals along the track.
