1337019 Smoke-generating compositions IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 25 Aug 1972 [31 Aug 1971] 40529/71 Addition to 1181657 Heading ASE A pesticidally active smoke-generating composition comprises a pyrimidyl carbamate of formula or a salt thereof wherein X and Y are O or S; R 1 and R 2 and R 5 and R 6 are H, hydrocarbon, substituted hydrocarbon, or together with the adjacent N are substituted or unsubstituted heterocyclic rings; and R 3 and R 4 are H, halogen, substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbon joined through O, S, or N or directly to the pyrimidine ring, or an alkylene bridging group. The smoke-generating compositions may comprise conventional ingredients such as inorganic nitrates and chlorates. The composition may be in the form of pellets or may be packed in a container provided with a wick.
