Abstract
1336629 Microwave ovens PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd 17 Dec 1971 [21 Dec 1970] 58686/71 Heading H5H A microwave oven comprising a cavity 10 with a supply wave-guide 22-25 surrounding its walls 11-14, at least one of which has slits 28 for the admission of energy into the cavity, is characterized by one or more cyclically variable, mode stirring, reflector bodies 30, 31, preferably on both sides of the antenna 27 of the magnetron 26. The bodies rotate with a mutual phase difference of about 45 degrees. Electrically conductive bodies 30, 31 have two vanes 32, 33, and 34, 35, fixed at 90 degrees to one another, and are rotatably mounted on shafts 36, 37, driven by a common driving wheel (not shown). Alternatively, a reflector body 40, Fig. 4 (not shown), is a helicoid. Specification 1,312,540 is referred to.
