Abstract
1336461 Oxide-containing silver alloys DODUCO BETEILIGUNGS GmbH E DURRWACHTER and E BOSCH [trading as DR EUGEN DURRWACHTER DODUCO] 19 April 1971 [9 March 1970] 21610/71 Heading C7A A silver metallic oxide composite for use in electric contacts comprises Ag, CdO 6-15% and metal oxides from at least two of Ca, Li, Sb, Mg, Be, Al, Sn, Mn, Bi, Zr, to a total of 0À5-6%, with the metallic oxide particles being concentrated at the grain boundaries of the silver matrix. The material is formed by internal oxidation of an appropriate alloy by heating in oxygen for 11 days at 700C.
