Abstract
1336431 Fluid pressure actuated switches JOSEPH LUCAS (INDUSTRIES) Ltd 21 May 1971 [18 July 1970] 34960/70 Heading H1N A pressure switch has a first body part 11 with an inlet bore 13 for connection to a source of fluid pressure; a second body part 12 of moulded synthetic resin and formed with a pair of integral wings 24 having terminals 25 moulded into them; a diaphragm trapped between the body parts 11, 12; a plunger 16 abutting against the diaphragm and a movable contact plate 17; and a pair of fixed contacts 18 respectively connected to the two terminals. The part 12 has a hollow containing a spring 19 acting on the movable contact 17; a screw adjustment 22 sets the operating pressure. Two ribs (23, Fig. 2, not shown) are also formed on the part 12 between the wings 24; the wings and ribs both serve to strengthen the thin walled body part 12.
