Abstract

1,161,665. Fluid-pressure actuated switches. JOSEPH LUCAS (INDUSTRIES) Ltd. 6 Jan., 1967 [26 Jan., 1966], No. 3440/66. Heading H1N. A pressure-sensitive electric switch comprises a pair of metal diaphragms 24, 25 separated by an insulating diaphragm 27. One stainless steel diaphragm 24 engages a plunger 23 for opening normally closed contacts 19, 20 against a spring 21. The second stainless steel diaphragm is sealed by an 0-ring 26 in the housing 11 and is in contact with the pressure fluid. The synthetic resin moulding 14 carrying terminals 15, 16 is retained in the metal housing 11 at an inwardly rolled edge.
