Abstract

1335943 Cooling beds SETIM SOC D' ETUDES TECHNIQUES DES INDUSTRIES METALLURGIQUES 5 May 1972 [18 Nov 1971] 21151/72 Heading B3M [Also in Division B8] Steel mill products 8 are conveyed through a cooling liquid 3 by the action of a conveyer consisting of a grid of fixed plates 7, in which is imbricated a grid of plates 16. The latter have a periodic cyclic movement along a square-. shaped path. The movement is derived by a motor 24 connected by linkage to suspension rollers 18 for providing the up and down component, and a motor 28 which provides the to and fro component. A notch 11 is provided on each of the plates 7 at the junction of a sloping inlet section with a horizontal section 12 of the conveyer path.
