1335236 A drum indexer for use with tyre building apparatus FIRESTONE TIRE & RUBBER CO 19 Jan 1971 [11 Feb 1970] 44988/71 Divided out of 1335231 Heading B7C A drum indexer for arcuately spacing the splices of stock around a drum during a tyre building operation comprises a fixedly located driven pulley 1566 and a pair of rollers 1567, 1568 movable towards and away from one another, there being reeved round the pulley and rollers a belt 1570. When a drum shaft 607 contacts the belt it is rotated thereby and a sensor mounted for rolling engagement with the shaft senses an indentation or projection thereon to enable the arcuate position of the drum to be identified and to stop rotation of the pulley 1566.
