Abstract

The display panel has a series of parallel drums (3a,3b) mounted in a housing (1). One feeds and the other receives and of vice versa. A display band is wound on each drum (3a,3b) and can be transferred from one drum to the other. The system has means (4) for driving a drum when it is the receiver. A method is included for stopping the movement of the display for a determined period, so that at each stop, a complete display appears before an observation window of the display panel. The panel has a method for tensioning the display band. These means brake the feeding drum during the movement of the display band and reverse the movement of the drum when the band movement stops.
