Abstract
1335198 Polyurethanes BAYER AG 7 Dec 1970 [17 Dec 1969] 58002/70 Heading C3R [Also in Division C2] Polyurethane resins and polyurethane foam resins are prepared from stable liquid polyisocyanates containing biuret groups obtained by reacting aliphatic or aromatic polyisocyanates at temperatures of from 100‹ to 200‹ C. with diprimary aromatic diamines with their nucleophilic character attenuated by electrophilic substituents or by substituents which sterically hinder the amino groups to such an extent that the diamines may be intimately mixed with polyisocyanates at temperatures of above 100‹ C. without any substantial formation of sparingly soluble polyureas in such proportions that the NH 2 /NCO ratio is in the range of 1 : 2 to 1 : 100.
