Abstract

1433645 Polyisocyanurate foams CELOTEX CORP 7 Jan 1974 [11 Jan 1973] 14807/75 Divided out of 1433641 Heading C3R Polyisocuanurate foams are prepared from a composition comprising (A) a polymethylene polyphenyl isocyanate, (B) diethylene glycol or triethylene glycol, (C) a catalyst for the trimerization of NCO groups, (D) a blowing agent and (E) a surfactant, there being present an excess of NCO groups over OH groups. Most preferably the isocyanate contains less than 30% by weight of diphenylmethane diisocyanate and has an NCO equivalent weight of 136 to 142. Ingredients (C), (D( and (E) of the composition are those used conventionally in the art.
