Abstract
1321930 Biuret polyisocyanates BAYER AG 19 April 1971 [7 March 1970] 21563/71 Heading C2C [Also in Division C3] Liquid polyisocyanates which contain biuret groups are prepared by reacting a polyisocyanate with a secondary amine at a temperature of from 80‹ to 200‹ C. and at an NCO : NH ratio of from 4 : 1 to 100 : 1. The secondary amine is preferably a secondary monoamine or a bissecondary diamine and the polyisocyanate is preferably a diisocyanate. The biuret-containing polyisocyanates may be used for the preparation of polyurethane foam resins.
