1333397 Sodium propionate particles UENO FINE CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 22 July 1971 [24 July 1970] 34489/71 Heading C2C Sodium propionate particles coated with a sorbitan ester of a fatty acid of 12-18 carbon atoms is non-caking. Sorbitan monolaurate, monopalmitate, monostearate, tristearate, monoleate, and trioleate are mentioned and 1 to 10% based on the weight of sodium propionate, may be used. The sodium propionate may be as crystals, powders, granules and flakes of size 50 microns to 5 mm. The ester may be applied from aqueous or organic solution or may be present during the formation of sodium propionate.
