1333321 Mining machines; gearing DEMAG AG 27 Jan 1971 3264/71 Heading E1F [Also in Division F2] A mining machine has cutting means driven by reduction gearing having a housing rotatable within a support and a non-rotatable component supported in a torsionally resilient manner, with respect to both directions of rotation, by resilient elements fast with the support. The housing of a planetary reduction gear is rotatable within support housing 3 in sliding bearings. A stationary component of the gearing, e.g. the planet wheel carrier, has spaced axially extending lugs 5 retained between resilient thrust bearings, such as rubber buffers 4, carried by support housing 3.
