1332958 Indoor games E A ANDERSON 14 Dec 1971 [15 Dec 1970] 58121/71 Heading A6H A race game comprises a track 12 formed with longitudinally extending grooves 13; figures (31), e.g. a horse and rider, mounted on holders (30) arranged for free movement along respective grooves, the holders being attached by pull lines (32) to spools (26) mounted on a shaft (21) driven by an electric motor (M), Figs. 2 and 3 (not shown), whereby rotation of the shaft causes respective lines to be wound at random on corresponding spools thus causing the figures to move; and a pivotally mounted plate 16 extending transversely across the finishing end of the track, the plate being associated with contacts, 17, 18 in the circuit of the motor (M). When the plate 16 is vertical, as shown, the motor (M) is energised by way of the contacts 17, 18 this circuit being broken when the leading figure hits the plate which pivots on a support shaft to separate the contacts thereby causing the figures to stop so that their relative positions can be ascertained. The driving arrangement for the spools includes a clutch mechanism which can be operated to enable the figures to be returned to the starting position (Fig. 3, not shown).
