1332831 Aromatic nitrites DEUTSCHE GOLDUND SILBER-SCHEIDEANSTALT 11 Sept 1970 [26 Sept 1969] 43557/70 Heading C2C [Also in Division B1] Aromatic or heteroaromatic nitriles are produced by the ammoxidation of alkyl-substituted aromatic or heteroaromatic compounds in the presence of a catalyst consisting of a mixture of oxides of antimony and tungsten and optionally one or more compounds of manganese, chromium, iron, cobalt, nickel, copper or vanadium and/or a support, which has been pretreated by heating at 650-1100 C. in the presence of oxygen.
