Abstract

1332782 Pipe connections WATNEY MANN Ltd 7 Dec 1970 [8 Sept 1969] 44369/69 Heading F2G An extractor for fitting to the outlet of a pressurized beer keg includes a casing 1 able to engage the said outlet and axially movable members 18, 19 within the casing 1 which under the influence of pneumatic pressure can seal with the said outlet and/or engage and open valve mechanisms in the outlet. As shown pressurized gas, carbon dioxide, enters via bore 23 and annular passageway defined by tubes 22, 26 and holes 32 so that pressure can be applied as indicated to the end surfaces of the axially movable members 18, 19. Their movement respectively causes engagement of shaped member 10 of. the outlet by sealing ring 20 and depression of valve members 11, 13 so that beer from the pressurized keg can pass up from down pipe 4 around valve seat 14 and carbon dioxide can pass via passageway 25 between valve member 11 and a continuation 7, 8, 9 of the shaped member 10.
