Abstract

1332745 Roll dispensers BY-BUK CO 10 May 1971 [11 May 1970] 14036/71 Heading A4G [Also in Divisions B5, B8] Apparatus for automatically dispensing individual adhesive assemblies e.g. labels from a roll 35 of a carrier sheet 10 e.g. of paper to which the assemblies are removably attached (see Division B5) comprises a weighted guide plate between which and the lap wall 51 of the apparatus the carrier sheet passes to a dispensing station where there is a pre-focused light source 59 and a photo-electric cell 60, light from the former being reflected by an aluminium foil portion 13a of an adhesive assembly into the cell to de-activate a motor drive circuit which engages a wind-up drum 61 for the carrier sheet. When one of the assemblies is manually peeled off, the circuit is closed and the wind-up drum activated to bring the next assembly into the dispensing position.
