1331462 Injection moulding machines MANNESMANN-MEER AG 9 Sept 1970 [29 Dec 1969] 43223/70 Heading B5A An injection moulding machine particularly for making thick-walled foamed articles comprises a single injection unit 7 disposed between two moulds I and II provided with a common closing unit 9. The injection unit 7 has two controlled nozzles 8. A U-shaped member 6 carrying one half of each mould is displaceable on columns 4 by cylinders 11. The injection unit 7 moves with the member 6 but is displaceable towards and away from the moulds by independent means (not shown). One half of mould II is carried by a fixed plate 3 and one half of mould I is carried by a plate 5 reciprocable by cylinders 9. The moulds can be both closed or either one open.
